By Graham Armitage You set out for a 10 mile hike alone on a well known trail in the mountains. It’s cloudy with little wind and the temperature is a balmy 67 degrees. You have done plenty of hikes, and spend a lot of time outdoors. On this particular day, you take a slightly more adventurous route and move a little faster than usual. It’s getting late in the day and you don’t want be out after dark so you push a little harder. All is going well until you slip on a rock and mildly sprain your ankle. Simply go inside. What happens though, if you and the little ones are half way up a two mile trail? It’s not that easy. Before leaving for a trip with the kids, no matter how short your walk, make sure you’re prepared.
